Current data from the Famitsu show which consoles and video games last week in Japan have best sold. It will be apparent that both the Nintendo title Metroid Dread and the new switch could celebrate a successful sales debut.
The 2D adventure was sold almost 87,000 times and thus laid the most successful start of the series. Already now it is the fourth most sold Metroid game in Japan.
UbiSoft s Open World Shooter Far Cry 6 also comes well with the Japanese. In second place, with 34,000 sales, the PS4 version lingers, while the new gene version is in third place and can show over 16,000 units sold. Thus, the title has sold around 51,000 times.
Behind it follow well-known permanent guests, for which Mario Kart 8 Deluxe , Super Smash Bros. Ultimate , Ring Fit Adventure and Minecraft count. 8th place is taken by the Japanese Adventure Doki Doki Literature Club Plus! . The ninth place is occupied by Lost Judgment , which was published worldwide on September 24th. The top 10 are rounded off by the Mini Game Collection Warioware: Get It Together! , Which has also come out last month.
Thanks to the OLED variant of the Nintendo Switch, the console is now even more dominating than in the previous months. Of the 179,000 specimens sold, about 138,000 sales fall back to the new Nintendo hardware. The model, however, has sold worse than the base console and the switch Lite.
